The single-ended triode (SET) circuitry, short, simple signal path and high quality inter-stage and output transformers gives the lifelike liquid midrange that SET's are famous for. However, this amplifier does not have the classic 300B SET sound with weak dynamics, early compression and poor bass. The dual external PSU's ensure this amplifier also has real world dynamics and bass performance and it can drive a much wider range of loudspeakers than a typical 300B SET. This amplifier is an ex-demonstration unit and is fully serviced with new tubes throughout. It has the latest audio specification and comes with Electroharmonix 300B. Other 300B types are available at extra cost. A volume control can be fitted if required to remove the need for a pre-amp in a single source system.
