When I listen to music on the hifi, I listen for the music. The closer, the better.
While there can be some debate about this simple proposition, why do we listen to music on the hifi, I have zero interest in a debate because…I listen to music on the hifi for enjoyment. You know, pleasure, inspired by music and the people who make it. What I need my hifi to do is get out of the way as much as possible and connect me directly to the tunes.
